Hi
I just bought a Buffalo Linkstation LS-250GL and thought i could get away with a 1.5Tb H/D upgrade but it wasn't having it - i think it only takes up to 1Tb, it made continuous beeps which meant 'didn't recognise hard drive'
so i put a 500Gb in and i get the same error light and beeps
can anyone explain why and how to overcome this
is there something i need to do first to the drive or unit???
the drive is brand new taken from an unused Seagate Freeagent external drive

ps: i uploaded the latest firmware to the unit today so thats all updated and it hasn't ruined it as its fine with its original 250Gb HD inside it
