GS-AX5400 slow on ethernet

Just bought this router, and was using my ISPs one before. My internet speed is 900/100 and when I do a speed test with my ISP router, connected via ethernet I get about 920/120, but on my asus router with ethernet, I get 620/120, any reason why?

What do you get with the router built in speed test? Did you disable QOS?

Agree, sounds like adaptive QoS shenanigans .

I've disabled QOS, and the speed has improved, but it's still not as fast and consistent as my other isp router. Although it doesn't seem a lot, the average speed on my ISP is 920, and ASUS was 895/900 download. I've noticed steam downloads are over 15MB/s faster, and same on EA.

Yes the wireless speeds, ping, range, and speeds on devices further away are much better on the ASUS, however, I don't see any reason for it to be 20-35mbps slower ethernet. I was the only device tested throughout my tests.
