New Around Here
Hello,
I've been using Merlin’s firmware on my RT-AC68 (originally a tmobile unit) for what seems like forever. Its amazing, thanks so much Merlin.
Currently running 380.68.4.
I recently bumped a threat where a person was having the same issue I am, which is, unable to access my qnap NAS via wan, but I can via lan.
I could access other devices (i.e. an IP camera) remotely, but not my NAS.
Then I realized my nas is behind a VPN.
I dropped the vpn and voila – I was able to access my nas remotely. Returned the NAS to the vpn and nothing.
Is this normal? Everything I read says I should be tunneling through the vpn to my qnap preferably one within my router.
So this should work.
I’m not sure if it’s the vpn service or my settings or what.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
