New Around Here
I'm building an HTPC and wanted to go wireless. I have a Linksys WRT610N router running with G laptop clients on the 2.Ghz band currently. I would like for the HTPC to run on the 5Ghz N band.

So far I'm not having much luck finding a dual band, low profile, wireless-N PCI adapter. The only one seems to be the Linksys WMP600N, which does not seem to exist.

Any thoughts?

You won't have any luck. They don't exist. Use either USB (WUSB600) or Ethernet bridge (WGA600N).

Just wondering if there was any new cards of this type since this thread was started. I know this is an old thread, but always better to reply to existing threads than create new.

I used WiFi for quite a while for Video streaming.
Now I use MoCA. No more glitches.
I wouldn't attempt HD TV with WiFi, 11n or not.

I've heard good things about MoCA, but was put off by the price. Last time I checked the Netgear kit cost about $200.
