New Around Here
Recently purchased WNDR 3700 with network consisting of desktop (ethernet connection), laptop (wireless), and Aminet130 STB for cable tv (ethernet connetion). The desktop and laptop are working perfectly, however, I am unable to get the STB to work with router.

My cable/internet provider installed a D-Link D65-2208 Gig switch in storage room with Cat5 wiring to outlet in another room where STB and router are located. I disconnected the STB from this outlet and instead connected the router to it with STB and desktop connected to Gig ports on router.

Am I missing something here or is this a port forwarding/opening issue that NetGear support is indicating? I appreciate any suggestions or advice with this and network configuration/setup. Thank you.
