Hello folks,

I have an R7800 with the latest Voxel firmware installed. I have recently noticed that the R7800 is frequently dropping my wired devices for a few seconds - my Apple TV will briefly show a 'No network' message and Windows will lose connectivity for about 10 seconds (Windows Event Viewer records the network link going down).

The problem must be with the router as (a) both devices are connected directly to the router with different brands of decent network cable bought at separate times and (b) the log shows that those two devices being assigned their static IPs over and over. From the past hour:

Any ideas? Can static IPs cause issues that aren't worth the hassle in the home if I'm not doing anything technical?

Thanks.

Doest his happen still if you try a full factory reset and setup from scratch?
What wired devices do you have connected all at once?
Set up IP address reservations for each devices connected. First disconnect all LAN devices accept for 1 wired PC. Set a reservation for the PC, then connect the first device and set a reservation, save and apply. Graduate adding and reserving devices.
Besure LAN cables are of good quality. CAT6 recommended.

Check latest stock FW to see if this happens here. If so, then possible HW issue or something thats connected to the router maybe causing this.

I've tried a factory reset and haven't had the problem since, thanks. I'll leave the IP assignment to auto to avoid any messing about.

Enjoy. ;)
