I have a RT-AC68U not sure what other people have. Rolling back to 380.66_6 makes it stable though, no more reboots. I have had this router for about a year and have used Merlin from the beginning. Revision 380.68 is the first time I have had any issues.

did you factory reset after upgrading to .68, and put your settings in manually or did you dirty flash?

My Ac5300 is running rock solid...even on Torrents. 380.68.2. Autoreboot activated every Friday and Sunday late evening.

I also noticed my BitTorrent running slower then normal, 7-8 MB/s so I rebooted and now it back to the faster speeds 38MB/s

can't wait for Full Duplex docsis 3.1 will give equal speeds on upload and download. 10GB/10GB

Right after I did a cold reboot the 1900P crashes when using BitTorrent again.

I bet if I switch out the hardware for another new 1900p from best-buy it will do the same thing. I may try testing out if the factory fw does this first. But anyways I'm seeing more reports of others having the same issue so somethings off.

Here's the log output;

@Merlin does posting these log outputs of the crash not help pin point where to check in the fw coding for an issue?

whats does this mean?

It means the command before that in your syslog was repeated hundreds of times, syslog is merging them together to avoid filling up the log with the same command over and over.

No, I'm not a kernel developer.

Why do so many of you run torrents on your router don't you run into bottlenecks this way?

So I did some troubleshooting with this reboot issue as it's ruining my online experience and frustrating me to the max here!!!

I dirty flashed the 1900p back to the newest Asus factory firmware and it does NOT reboot when running BitTorrent or qBitTorrent.

I went out a bought another new 1900P from best-buy and flashed 380.68 and set everything up manual, and it gets the reboot bug right away. I flash back to Asus newest factory firmware and it doesn't reboot.

Now for ppl that are saying it's working good for them, I don't think they are running a Torrent client on the win PC to check.

for ppl at the wondering I'm a VIP member @ HD-Torrents with an internet connection package of 330/20 and two 10TB mirrored HDD.

@Merlin I know your not a kernel developer but there's something in your firmware making it crash bro, it all points to it.
Can you please look into this for us.
I don't mind using the Asus factory version but I'd like to have the more polished GUI and use the SSH for AB-solution which I can't now.

I can't. The error message is total gibberish to me, and I don't experience any crash with my own torrents. I have absolutely no idea what is causing it to crash for you, the crash lies in the kernel code, which is totally outside of my field of expertise. I have no way of "looking into it".

Torrenting with Deluge on a 24/7 Win10 server, via a AC68U with a 100/100 connection, with no reboots.

380.68_2
URL filtering over IPv4 for `webcompanion.com` works correctly. But Network Services Filter for 104.17.115.51 not blocked http://webcompanion.com. Why?
Name: webcompanion.com
Address: 104.17.113.51

I'm getting similar reboot messages (previously reported on here) with my RT-AC68U on 380.68_2 which I've never experienced on earlier versions. At the moment I have regressed to 380.68 to try to isolate where it was introduced.

The interesting thing is that I don't believe I am using torrents on my network. I can't be 100% certain as I have teenagers in the house, but they are currently insisting that they don't use any.

Looking for commonality between those suffering the issue, my connection is PPPoE and I use Adaptive QoS, fq_codel and FreshJRs QoS script with the various Trend Micro AiProtections
