Did it stay the same from 380.66 to 380.67 as well? Thank you!

No, 380.67 was merged with GPL 380_7743, included recompiled drivers. The biggest change was however in 380.66 when Asus added Airtime Fairness support - I added a notice then in the changelog recommending to disable airtime fairness as some clients don't seem to work well with it enabled.

did ylu read the change log id advise that before asking, to see whats changed, as merlin said already a million times the wireless driver has not changed in over a year.
 
I seems to be working well for me, but I do have a general question or two:
- the readme says we should do a factory reset if we are more than 3 versions behind. I have pretty much stayed up to date, i.e. updated with every version, but haven't done a factory reset in a while (probably more than three versions ago). Should I?
- if I do, I was wondering if it is enough to save the settings, factory reset, then reload them. It is conceivable that settings may change size or location between versions...I have looked at the CFG file created by the save settings dialog, and it appears to be binary, not an xml file.

only if you have any major issues otherwise, it should be fine, though i do personally format after ever stable relase, since i use betas and alphas bettween relases.
 
The only thing I've noticed about recent router updates (around 380.65 and later), is that if I don't physically power off my AC88U after the update, it will have some kind of failure within a week of updating. Be it Wifi shutting off or the router hanging completely. As long as I power it off and on and an update, everything is fine. I have no idea why this is the case, but it has happened consistently for the past 6 or 7 updates.

Jack's right: use John's NVRAM Save/Restore Utility. Moreover, you must not use the router's own backup and restore options between firmware versions. It must only be used to restore settings for the firmware version the backup was taken from and on that very same router. In contrast, John's utility can be used not only between firmware versions, but even between routers. The time required to read and digest the instructions is amply repaid by time saved not having to manually input settings.

Not sure if this is a) new in this release b) something over which you have control c) worthy of your time(!) but..

The fade in and out on pop-up menus — ie view client list — is very slow on Safari on OSX.

You say "fade in and out"; I've not noticed that. Mine appears instantaneous. From what you wrote, I infer this behaviour is specific to Safari on OSX; what's it like on Safari on the iPhone, or another browser on OSX? Have you tried things like flushing the Safari cache? How quickly does Safari open the different pages in the webui? Are you connecting via http or https? I noticed, when I tried https, a slow response on my iPhone browser.

I have AC88U with ftth configuration (movistar in spain).with 380.68 version
But since last update i have hangs in wifi. The 5ghz wifi dissapears and only appears de 2.4ghz. After a few minutes (more than 10) the 5ghz apears again

The router is literally NEW. My last ac88u broken (the secondary swithc stops work) last week and amazon send to me a new one. I made a backup of the router and restore in the new one.

Considering I've seen uptimes of over a month after hard booting and I'm not seeing any other problems, I don't see the need to. There just must be something wrong with the upgrade process where something isn't getting cleared from memory after it.
 
Possible Issue with upgrade from RT-AC3200 Merlin firmware 380.67 to 380.68.

Updated to 380.68 and everything seemed to be running smoothly for many hours. However a household member couldn't access www.costco.com & www.angieslist.com. Browser displays "Access Denied: You don't have permission to access "http://www.xxx.com/" on this server". Tried several different computers and browsers. Same issue. Using a mobile device switched off of network and connected to sites via phone carrier...connected no problem. Tried different DNS services with same issue. Downgraded to 380.67 but with same settings... same issue. At this point, saved my settings, did reset to factory defaults, restored settings...same issue. So reset to factory defaults again and manually inputted enough settings for internet access, tried above web pages. They worked! Upgraded to 380.68 and tried above web sites...nope didn't work...gave "access denied by server".

So my conclusion was 380.68 has some sort of issue which "blocks" these web sites (maybe more). Most of my personal browsing didn't run into any issue. Just these two sites a household member tried to access.

So downgraded back to 380.67 and reset back to factory defaults. Manually inputted all my previous settings. Currently works like a charm. So don't know what's up?

PS: Haven't had any issues with my radio settings or disconnects. Yet.....

Not the firmware. Have AC3200 on 360.68 and I can get to both sites.
 
One thing I noticed,

If I turned "Enable Web History" to "ON"

It will have all devices web history, even though the switch was on the "OFF" position during that time period.

Is web history supposed to be actively logging in the off position? Might explain some CPU usage.

Only thing I really have on is Adaptive QOS.

Probably, just waiting to gather enough fixes to justify a new release - so far there are only two fixes which only affect Repeater Mode, not enough to justify a point release at this time.
