I had some problem not being able to add files to my usb drive.
That worked out overnight tho. Now, when i connect my usb-drive the router "crashes" and i cant connect to internet if i disconnect the drive and reboot the router.

Anyone knows what the problem could be, any file on the drive etc...?

Thanks in advance!

Check your Syslog message after connecting the USB drive, have you tried another USB drive?

what router, what fw ?

IMO good solution is usb hdd with own power source, best solution is dedicated nas.

Indeed you shouldn't use self-powered storage (external hard drive) on your router, only USB PEN drive or SSDs which are lower power consumption.
