The TopTower NAS series targets the SMB market standardizing the line with 10 GbE networking, HDMI output and USB 3.0. With the new 6-bay N6850PLUS, Thecus also throws in 4 GB of RAM (expandable to 32 GB) and an Intel Xeon E3-1225 3.1 GHz processor.

A step up from the previous N6850 model that ran on 2 GB of RAM and a Pentium G620 CPU, the N6850PLUS also maxes out at 60 TB and supports seven modes of link aggregation.

Additional storage-specific features include Data Guard for non-cloud backups, Data Burn, Snapshot Backup, bundled True Image software, and support for cloud backup solutions like Amazon S3, DropBox and Elephant Drive.

Available in early December 2016, the Thecus TopTower N6850PLUS will retail for $1579.
