Hi Merlin,

I’m running 3.0.0.4.382.18881.

Will 380.69 incorporate the changes in the latest Asus release? Sorry if that’s an uneducated question. I’m in learning mode.

Thanks.

No, 380.69 will only be security fixes specific to the 380 platform. 382_18881 changes would be in 382.2 (which will be based on 382_18991).

Is flashing to the stable release 380.68_4 ok with the firmware I have installed?

You will probably have to do a factory default reset afterward, since you're going back to an older codebase (380 vs 382).

Works good so far except for these logs at boot.
Code:
Dec  7 19:11:24 kernel: ERR[qos_start:3356] qos_ops is not registered!
Dec  7 19:11:24 kernel: ioctl_iqos_op_switch(1) fail!

Rt-AC68p

did it happen in the previous build or just this one?

No, it didn't happen in the previous builds(380). This is the first 382 build for rt-ac68P/U/W, it might have to do with fq_codel I assume as my QOS is set as one.

RT-68U I loaded this last night and it bricked my router had to go in recovery mode and load 380.69 alpha 1 only time I ever had a problem with Merlin updates

No problem installing Alpha 2, try to unmount any disk/usb if any, reboot then update to 382.

There are mistypes in Advanced_OpenVPNClient_Content.asp

" couter "

Code:
	document.form.vpn_client_clientlist.value = clientlist.substring(counter, (couter+=255))

	document.form.vpn_client_clientlist1.value = clientlist.substring(counter, (couter+=255));
	document.form.vpn_client_clientlist2.value = clientlist.substring(counter, (couter+=255));
	document.form.vpn_client_clientlist3.value = clientlist.substring(counter, (couter+=255));
	document.form.vpn_client_clientlist4.value = clientlist.substring(counter, (couter+=255));
	document.form.vpn_client_clientlist5.value = clientlist.substring(counter, (couter+=255));

no disk or anything in usb rebooted did update bricked router just like last night had to put in recovery mode did update and recovery with cable to router not thru wireless

Rt-AC68p
Another more complete QOS error log after a restart. QOS is set to manual fq_codel.
Code:
Dec 8 16:05:19 kernel: ERR[parse_qos_conf:932] Can't set new QoS conf while QoS is started!
Dec  8 16:05:19 kernel: ERR[ioctl_iqos_op_config:3592] parse qos_conf error!!
Dec  8 16:05:19 kernel: ioctl_iqos_op_config() fail!
Dec 8 16:05:19 kernel: ERR[qos_start:3344] QoS is already started!
Dec  8 16:05:19 kernel: ioctl_iqos_op_switch(1) fail!

Thanks Merlin for fixing the no information on tool tab without a wired connection. AC3100. :)

Have been waiting to try out the 382 branch and decided to wait until AM382_2.

Just tried the alpha2 on the AC88U

Sat Dec 9 07:56:37 2017 OPTIONS IMPORT: --ip-win32 and/or --dhcp-option options modified
Sat Dec 9 07:56:37 2017 ERROR: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such device (errno=19)
Sat Dec 9 07:56:37 2017 Exiting due to fatal error

Astrill applet doesn’t connect. I realise this is an Astrill problem, but I only use Merlin because of Astrill.

Make sure you update your applet, other users have reported being able to connect using Astrill's applet.

I have the latest. Also did a factory reset.

I think it probably works for 382.1 but not 382.2 (alpha2)

Perhaps another Astrill 382.2 user can confirm.

Oh dear.

Can't even connect using the standard VPN client to TorGuard. It says it's connected, but doesn't show a public IP - and this is in the log

These log entries have nothing to do with VPN, they're all related to wifi.
