It looks like Amazon has put more than money behind mesh Wi-Fi company Luma. An email blast just brought news that some Luma features can now be controlled by speaking to Alexa.

Using Alexa’s voice controls, Luma and Echo can now “Pause the internet” and “Prioritize Devices” for individual devices, specific users, or the whole family.

The Prioritize Devices feature allows you to prioritize internet traffic for a named device.

Both commands are prefixed by "Alexa, Tell Luma WiFi".

I like it. Things are getting too complicated, I think this is the direction we need to go.
 
Alexa, Tell Luma WiFi to kick the kids off the network and go to bed :D
