Asus 4G-AC68U or 4G-AC55U

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Asus 4G-AC68U or 4G-AC55U is supported by Asuswrt-Merlin (this is the model that has a built in sim card slot)?

Basically, I want to use the Asus 4G-AC68U with a 4G/LTE data sim as the primary WAN - the area I'm in there is no other way to get internet.

FYI, the 4G-AC68U is not available for purchase yet.

Combo modem/rotuer devices are almost never supported by any third-party firmwares. I believe the answer to your question is no.

If you bought a regular Asus wireless router you could probably use a USB 4G/LTE dongle for WAN access. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-4g-modems-support.30840/

Thanks for the answers. Yeah, I've pretty much decided to go with a 4G/LTE USB dongle and a regular Asus router that is supported by merlin. Thanks for all the quick and helpful answers!
