I have an Asus gt ax11000 I have noticed my connection dropped from 1000mb to 100mb after 24hrs for the last 3 weeks. I have to reset the modem from cox and also the ax11000 then back 1000mb after resetting, and also switch around the modem ports, still doing the same thing. Maybe the firmware. I also used and tried the other port,1000mb as primary, still the same. I signed up for 1blast on cox 940up/down so the fastest way to know if my connection is to check the speed test. Only getting 100mb speed means the port is 100mb speed.
help me. View attachment 55557

Have you tried another cable yet?

i have a gt ax11000pro and lan 2/3/4 dont attach via the plastic clip on a cable somehow
lan 1 works fine ditto for the 2.5Gbps and the 10Gbps
luckily i have a 8 port 2.5Gbps port switch already in the house i dont see any physical wrong

and yes i should sent it in im afraid for putting the blame on me

Thanks for all who replied. No, my house is prewired with Cat 7, but I did change the RJ45 connector on both ends 30 minutes ago. This is a waiting game now. So far, it's good, but I have to wait 24 hours. and was thinking maybe some kind of lease time? wierd

Here's my setup for the last 3 years. Don't laugh at hanging styles. 😂😂I just used a very tiny wire inside, maybe 1/2 inch or less clearance, then I just cut 1-1/2 inches of wood and glued it to the footing for the cooling fan in the future.

I got a simple fix on mine by shimming. Not all ports are made the same; some are oversize. Have a look at or check out my posts lately.

So let me get this right - you're running wire around the entire device to hang it on the wall - a device that is meant to be table topped...

Yes, you're right. But like haging all my network, like my unmanaged switch, modem, and nvr security camera, well, the thing is, I ran all the cat7 wire through the house. I would love to show you my main setup. later on👍🥰

Installing out-of-tolerance RJ-45 connectors that don't connect, heatshrinked to cabling that is cramped and bent 180d under tension to reach ports facing up to collect dust and debris, and shimmed to a crudely mismounted AP with compromised ventilation and antenna postions... is not something l would bother to document and recommend. Where did you get those RJ-45 connectors... it would be helpful to know what brand to avoid.
