Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 Beta is now available

3006.102.4 beta3 runs stable on my setup (RT-AX86U Pro)

Just for info because wifi issues can only be solved by Asus:
I've got only one issue and that is that my Awair Element sensor won't connect to the 2.4 wifi anymore. Tried multiple configurations, also a factory reset of the router didn't help. On the previous firmware I was never able to put the Awair Element into a guest Network but it did work on the main network. I think something that was a problem there, is now also affecting the main 2.4 wifi. Workaround for the moment is to connect the Awair Element to the AP (RT-AX86U 3.0.0.4.388_24339) and that still works.

Log shows:
Code:

May 5 14:52:50 hostapd: eth6: STA xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx RADIUS: starting accounting session 9B9B10D08B6EB12F

Went again from Asus official GT-AX11000 Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34750 to this latest Beta .
For some reason clients like the Freezer, espresso maker, ... are not connecting to the router.
Same settings no luck in Merlin firmware, other clients have no issue.
If i revert back to the original Asus firmware the freezer, espresso maker are again connecting....
What can this be?
My 2.4 Ghz settings (AsusWRT)

VPN rules are applied in a specific order. You can have both VPN clients enabled at the same time, the second VPN will only be reached if the first one is disabled, provided the rules overlap. That way, as long you always have one VPN enabled, your clients will never get exposed.
Is it possible to change the order of the rules? I find that my WireGuard speeds are about twice as fast as my OpenVPN speeds, so I want those to have higher priority for certain traffic.

The first step would be to disable 802.11ax mode and set the bandwidth to 20MHz.
I thought all Merlin releases had the standard blue GUI now. Am I wrong?

Dirty flash all routers to 3006.102.4 beta3 with no problems. My IoT network migrated from 3004.xxx.x with no problems. The more experienced forum members probably already know this, but my IoT clients connect more reliably with the 2.4 channel "Locked" to a relatively quiet channel. It seemed that when the router was allowed to search for less interference, and automagically changed channels, that would "confuse" some of the IoT devices causing them to refuse to reconnect. Just my 2c worth.

just installed beta3 on gt-ax11000pro
and wrench iccon is gone but thats not a issue
Properly clear your browser cache - and the icon will return - issue covered by others above in this thread after Beta3.

@RMerlin, A question. After a dirty update from Beta2 to Beta3 on a RT-AX86U Pro, when selecting "System Info" from the left menu list the page that loads has a section title which says "Tools - System Information" rather than "System Info" or "System Information". Is this a departure from other page naming conventions with other pages that typically have the menu name first?
I updated the <title> tag, but forgot that there was also a second reference within the HTML code. I will have to update them.

Hi all,

First thanks a lot to @RMerlin for this big work to provide the 3006 for our router !!!

Just tried the latest beta 3 on my XT12 used as a router (for ref XT12_3006_102.4_beta3_nand_squashfs.pkgtb) + a factory reset in order to start clean.
Everything seems good so far except I cannot see the VLAN tab in the LAN section.

I used the VLAN feature with the Asus stock firmware beta and I know that the latest 3006 stock release don't have it, but i was hoping Merlin could maybe enable this feature for the XT12 in the Merlin version ? Any chance ?

Best regards and thanks again for the impressive work 👍

I can't - only Asus can implement that.
