Thanks for the reply. This thread has some discussion on this with no clear answer. What would be a good scanner I can use to test?

obviously is a NO as highlighted by merlin many times. if you wanted to use rog theme, then just make use of stock firmware. no point having different versions of the same firmware.Hi, Thanks for maintaining Asuswrt-Merlin, I appreciate it <3
I just want to know if we missed rog theme forever?
I want to update my GT-AX6000 router to this version but it seems there is no rog theme![]()
I've had the same problem. A factory reset solved it.Not sure why, but I've had slow internet, pages not responding and airplay lag since updating from beta 3, rebooted twice now, thinking of downgrading as never had these issues just to see...
Ok. Thank you very much! It's part of the entire full change log. It apparently applies to any stock Asus firmware version that is 3006.102_37000 and newer. So if you are on the latest stock 3.0.0.6.102_37841 firmware for the RT-BE86U, then you would issue the indicated command via SSH if you want to flash the Asus-Merlin 3006.102.4 firmware.

3006.102.x (10-May-2025)
- NOTE: As a reminder, the ROG variant of the webui is not supported in the 3006 firmware series, as maintaining two separate interfaces is too much extra work.
Wow, imagine actually taking a moment to search the forum before posting—what a concept, right? This topic has been beaten to death, resurrected, and then buried again. It’s gone. Not coming back. Useless. Done.Hi, Thanks for maintaining Asuswrt-Merlin, I appreciate it <3

A suggestion. Provide information about how you have configure your router including the DNS Director settings if you have enabled that feature, and any addon scripts you may be using. Without any information on how you have configured your router one generally cannot provide any suggestions to your question or issue with the firmware.Any help or ideas on the cause of this problem would be gratefully recieved. Greg
If it were a problem, then Asuswrt-Merlin would simply be rejected by the flash procedure, and you would be back to the original firmware after the router is done rebooting. If you do see the Asuswrt-Merlin logo and the correct version at the top of the webui then all is fine.immediately updated to merlin firmware without running this command - " nvram set DOWNGRADE_CHECK_PASS=1" . Is that a problem? What limitations will I have as a result?

Thanks for reply, would i still be able to revert back to latest stock firmware if needed? If it were a problem, then Asuswrt-Merlin would simply be rejected by the flash procedure, and you would be back to the original firmware after the router is done rebooting. Lots of choices depending on your OS, on Windows I use Putty SSH client. Use the client to log into the router via SSH and you'll end up on the command line.Sorry, How do I access SSH Command Line? I can't seem to find anything on how to do it. Asus website says how to activate it, but not how to then access the interface to run commands?

@RMerlinI reverted a driver update on the RT-BE96U and GT-BE98_PRO. Sounds odd that this would be causing you an issue, as these are drivers used in Asus released firmwares. But due to lack of time to gather more feedback for it I decided to revert it just in case.
If using Windows, Putty or WinSCP seem to be the most popular. You first enable SSH (LAN Only) through the router's GUI (Administration -> System). Then use Putty or WinSCP to access the router via SSH and issue commands in the terminal window. One can find various "how-to" videos on Youtube. Thank you. I didn’t realise it was a 3rd party thing as well. I use a Mac. I will check out YouTube for videos of that. Cheers. If using Windows, Putty or WinSCP seem to be the most popular.
