Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

Tried to forget network on device? Or new password...
I made hard reset on Yamaha receiver and configured it from scratch. Few times to be honest. It shows on router and gets dhcp, disconnect and again. Without end. So something is weird with configuration of network

I am using WPA2. It was working fine for years, but after upgrade stopped.
Just in case, if you are using Guest Network Pro, be sure to check the WPA setting there too.

What WiFi security are you using? Some devices have issues connecting with security set to WPA2/WPA3. If you've set to WPA2/WPA3 try WPA2 only.
Going even deeper it may come down to the type of encryption on WPA. I have a device that won't connect unless it is using AES-TKIP and this version of Merlin-ASUS no longer seems to support TKIP.

I was using only AES. Besides i think it would not connect in that case completely.

Do I need to hard reset if I am upgrading from RT-AX86U_PRO_3004_388.8_4 and then configure everything manually from scratch or does a inplace upgrade work?
Up to you. A dirty upgrade may work, or you may have issues crop up after. Personally I did a hard factory reset when moving from 3004.388.8_4 to the 3006.102.x firmware on a RT-AX86U Pro. The change between the two firmware features was significant enough that I decided it was best to hard factory reset and manually reconfigure.

Read the full 3006 firmware change log for the few times a reset is recommended.

Is there a easy way to dump all configuration and then follow that manually when configuring the router from scratch? Usually I take screenshot of every web page on GUI and then follow it again manually... Was thinking if there is a easier way?

Some will print/save each GUI page where they've made changes to PDF so they can copy and paste the changes later. There are various methods and or scripts (YazDHCP for example) one can use to export and import manual DHCP reservations which can save some time. But in the end, a reset and manual configuration is going to take a little bit of time.

does that mean having a Pihole IP under the LAN DHCP DNS section and then setting the redirection to Router, it means the Pihole would be bypased since the firewall will use the router's IP?
Most LAN clients will send their DNS requests directly to the Pi-Hole because they honor the DNS servers provided by your DHCP configuration. DNS Director cannot intercept those queries that stay within the LAN.

Any LAN client that ignores the DHCP-provided DNS server (your Pi-Hole IP), and tries to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8 as an example, those queries will be routed from LAN to WAN, but DNS Director will see these queries and silently redirect them to the router’s IP (e.g. 192.168.1.1).

Previously, they would have been redirected to the Pi-Hole IP when in Router mode. Now in this version, you need a custom entry for the redirect to Pi-Hole.

Since updating to 3006.102.4 on RT-AX86U Pro, DHCP reservations no longer appear on the /Advanced_DHCP_Content.asp tab. I'm running YazDHCP v1.0.6 and not running anything related to guest networks (jn fact these are disabled), etc.

When the UI is calling /ext/YazDHCP/DHCP_clients.htm on that page, I can see the response with all my DHCP reservations return from the router in Chrome DevTools, but for some reason they do not show in the UI, so no changes can be made.

Anyone else running into this problem?

I'm running YazDHCP v1.0.6
Update YazDHCP to the develop version (1.0.7). You may need to reimport the reservations after updating YazDHCP to the develop version.
Code:
/jffs/scripts/YazDHCP develop
/jffs/scripts/YazDHCP forceupdate
A number of of the addon scripts do not work correctly with the 3006.102.x firmware until they're updated to their latest version. This includes updating to the develop version for some of the scripts. See the following link for a listing of working and not working addon scripts.

Edit to add: Attached image shows some of the clients imported into a RT-AX86U Pro on the 3006.102.4 firmware using the 1.0.7 version of YazDHCP.

GT-BE98PRO My ring cameras on loT_5GHZ does not show all cameras. This is VLAN 53. Some of the cameras are showing connecting to the regular 5ghz channel and not the VLAN 53. 3 are showing correct. When I go into the ring app the wifi shows ALL are connected to the proper VLAN. In Network map it shows 2 connected to normal 5ghz and 3 properly in the VLAN SSID loT 5 GHZ. Is this a bug?

Likely a wonky Network Map. May fix itself in a day or so...

Technically yes it is a bug. One that has been there for a while with the Network Map. The Network Map just gets wonky from time to time. As others already indicated, the Network Map may fix itself after a period of time or if you kill and restart the Network Map process. I've found that when making a change to a Guest Network Pro profile, sometimes the profile number of client indicator (indicated by the yellow highlight box in the image below) doesn't refresh properly for a period of time. Likely gets refreshed when the Guest Network Pro profile's client lease time is renewed.
