Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.5 Beta is now available

After full reset this version seems stable. Dirty flashing not recommended. BSD and Smart Connect NVRAM parameters seem to make this build unstable so I'm no longer doing that. Default logging is debug, for newbies sakes might want to change that. So far nothing abnormal noticed in logging however, there are normal operation errors showing that some might mistake for issues. IOT devices appear fully stable now after reset where previously they were having major connection and auth issues when dirty flashed. New ASUS firmware also dropped fixing an issue with 5Ghz on the BE96U not sure if that's in this base.

Code yes but what about the wireless drivers version I believe they are the same in the latest ASUS release and the 3006.102.5 Beta 2 correct? CC Version means nothing if patches are applied on top of existing code.

Ports are enumerated in the wrong order on the RT-BE92U:

10G, 4, 1, 2, 3

Instead of

10G, 1, 2, 3, 4

People using the 2.5 Gbpos WAN should swap ports 1 and 2 on their router.

I'll see next week if this is something that Asus can fix without requiring a new GPL (this was a regression from when they migrated the RT-BE92U from the dedicated code branch to the common Wifi 7 code branch).

I have to ask, does it looks like bad QA (Quality Assurance) to you? I mean how can they miss this? They don't have a private group to check bits they could have missed? ASUS is a huge company with lots of ressources.

Oh well, you're alone improving some parts of their firmware and you have many fans here willing to alpha/beta test so was wondering about ASUS. Maybe they read and monitor you so you can't speak much... lol just kidding.

To be fair, Asus has never publicly released this 102_38757 code that 102.5 is based on. Maybe they’re QA’ing it as we speak?
