Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.5 has been released. This release focusses on merging new GPLs, redesigning the Connections log page, and fixing issues introduced with 3006.102.

Changelog:
Code:
- NOTE: For developers, please note that the new default branch
is now called "main" - it's what was previously the
        3006.102 branch.
The "master" branch has been renamed "master-old", and
is no longer actively used. Due to how the 3006.102
branch diverged, it was easier to do it this way than
to fold back 3006.102 on top of master.

- NEW: Completely redesigned System Log -> Connections page.
         - You can now filter the list
         - You can set the page to auto-refresh itself
         - Public IP addresses can be looked up on
           WhatismyIPaddress.com
         - Local hostnames will be resolved and shown
         - Routed IPv6 connections will be shown

- UPDATED: Merged GPL 3006.102_37957 for Wifi 6 devices.
- UPDATED: Merged GPL 3006.102_38757 for WIfi 7 devices.
- UPDATED: dropbear to 2025.88.
- CHANGED: Replaced netstat-nat by a fork called netstat-nat-ng.
This fork fixes a number of issues with IPv6 and
           field size.
- CHANGED: Updated Control-D DoT server entries (dave14305).
- CHANGED: Optimized performance when refreshing the Sysinfo
page on a network with thousands of tracked
           connections.
- CHANGED: Modified the Quick Internet Setup wizard so not
to attempt downloading firmware updates from Asus
           (which would fail anyway).
- FIXED: OpenVPN server set to "Internet only" would fail to
block LAN access (invalid firewall rule from SDN was
         bypassing it).
- FIXED: DNSDirector "Router" mode would not always work properly
with IPv6 (now uses REDIRECT instead of DNAT, which was
         backported from iptables 1.4.19).
- FIXED: DNSDirector would try to create iptables rules even
when that SDN should not allow DNSDirector if it shares
the main LAN interface. This could break DNSDirector
         on the main network.
- FIXED: Status frame missing from Network Map when accessing
         the router under certain hostnames.
- FIXED: Wireless Settings page failing to save on some models
         when in an AiMesh setup.

Awesome! Dirty flash successful.

One failed attempt to upgrade to release from B2. Second attempt all good.

Thanks RMerlin for all that you do.

Just dirty upgraded and I still have issues with DNSDirector (or not using DNSDirector) where my guest networks have to have their DNS Servers explicitly listed or they cannot resolve names.

It's worth mentioning that my DNS is defined by running the NextDNS.io CLI, so this might be their bug and not the Asus Firmware's but I have no way to tell (or do I?).

I unfortunately have issues - had none at all with the 3 betas but after installing the release version this morning I can no longer get into the router at all and all LAN devices are not connected. All LEDS on the RT-BE92U look normal - doesn't appear to have provided IP4 addresses from DHCP???

Are there any options other than a factory reset and start all over again? If I need to do this what is the best way? Thanks for any help....

Quick question, if I'm on 3006.105.2_beta3, is there any changes that warrant 3006.105.2?

'sfunny - router has been quietly chooching away since the last power fluctuation and/or firmware update, some 50-ish days ago, but somehow it hiccupped around the time @RMerlin posted about this new release. So now I upgrade and re-start the process and not think about my router.

UPDATE - in just the time it took for me to toddle off to the head for a wee bio-break, it's done and back as if nothing happened. Thanks, Merlin - you rock

Did you try unplugging the router for 15 seconds then plugging it back in? That resolved problems I was having with the router after an update in the past.

Upgraded from beta3 to release_0. No issues found so far. Thanks again!

Not sure why it is showing me at least twice as much in terms of the actual number of connected clients! Clean install and a hard reset.

I was seeing the same thing. I had to kill the networkmap process and after it restarted things normalized.

People were reporting the same/similar in the 3006.102.5 Beta. (Here, here and here in the beta discussion.)
