For the refresh of the web page on the tablet (iPad tested with Safari or Chrome) the only solution is to clear all cache
They'll also update after an hour (Asus' http web server causes images to cache for that long)

@Jack Yaz will all these awesome scripts make it to AMTM at some point? I like the idea of having the best of the best all in one neat place - makes it a lot easier to install/update/etc.

This is brilliant! Thank you for your great work.

rumour has it connmon might make the next version ;-)

spdmerlin needs some more refining (namely schedule control) due to people with high speed links experiencing issues. I don't want to tarnish amtm as causing slowdowns when its actually my script (well, a component i use but didn't write)

Ran into similar problems again with the speedtest script, after several hours of running it. Something is really wrong. For some reason, the speedtest results are insanely low. Download was sitting at 11 when it's normally 100+. Upload was acting screwy as well, giving off the same behaviour. This all started happening after installing the connmon script. I should probably post all of this in the spdmerlin thread, but seeing as I suspect this script to be the culprit, I'll post here.

There's literally no overlap between the two. spdmerlin runs at 12 and 42, connmon runs every 5 mins. Neither script runs continously and only run when invoked by cron

What size swap file do you have? It would be worth watching htop for memory usage while spdmerlin runs a test

It might be worth doing an M&M config as per @L&LD's signature

1GB

Just did some testing on a new install of the script. Running a test directly from the script (option 1) outputs proper results. However hitting the button in the GUI outputs this in the logs:

Code:
Apr 19 17:42:27 spdMerlin: Speedtest results - Download: 0.00 Mbit/s - Upload: 0.04 Mbit/s

That timestamp is awfully close to the automated test - I wonder if it's trying to run concurrently

EDIT; but yes, please continue this in spdmerlin thread

Are you retired, jobless, won the lottery or did your wife leave you?
:D:D:D
right? Jack's one prolific mo...uh, person lately with all these script babies he's made and updates he fires off. someone call 9-1-1 because he's on Fiya, yo!

connmon and ntpmerlin could be somehow combined, no? both display jitter...

Jack Yaz is very prolific and produces great scripts!

I like that connmon and ntpMerlin are separate. They give a deeper understanding of the network, as a whole. Together, I think that depth may be lost. :)

Together they may give a broader overview picture of the network as a whole. A general survey, so to speak. Perhaps as a starting point to focus in and diagnose any issues.

I would think the combination of connmon and spdMerlin would be a better “Internet” status/health/performance check.
ntpMerlin (and it’s jitter) are more focused on real-time network time/services.

Speaking of network monitoring, is anyone using Nagios on their home network? I have compiled a working version of the NRPE plugin that runs on Asuswrt-Merlin.

Link to your github?

When we have even laptop equivalent hardware to go inside our routers, I would agree with a connmon + spdMerlin merge. :)

Right now, that will not work for anyone with less than a top router (CPU + RAM) and no one with Gbps service. :(
