I also noticed there is a 4000 limit for wildcard blacklists.
Yea blacklisting is kinda different scenario I can see how having one of these too big would cause issues with diversion and dnsmasq.I also noticed there is a 4000 limit for wildcard blacklists.
curated whitelist ... 20 entries
the problem i run into, is short of learning how to use a sniffer,
i can not easily divine what url's are blocking my past time.
(i keep router url logging disabled to protect people's privacy)
useful referral/tracking links can often pass between 2-3 urls
before finally resolving to the target web page, and if some url
embedded in an app is being blocked, you are totally url blind.
Perhaps there was some conflict with something else then because as soon as I uninstalled Diversion, the problem became much less frequent, although not completely cured. However, it's largely academic now because I've sent the router back as the Wi-Fi was pretty weak and unstable, especially on the 2.4GHz band and also, Skynet wouldn't show any statistics in the GUI (just blank screens and the only way out was via the back button on my browser). I've got an RT-AC86U arriving tomorrow, so I'll see how I get on with that.Something else is causing that on your router, Diversion doesn't do that, me and many others users are using Diversion on RT-AX88U without any issues.
Stop that! Lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalal.Between the RT-AX88U and the RT-AC86U, I saw a big uptake in network performance.
I agree fully. I don't even have any client devices that are AX capable and I do not need new router(s). WANTING them is entirely different and I don't need any motivation.Stop that! Lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalal.

Here you go :

You'll need to use it as a Wildcard list in Diversion under el->3
The best method to use this list is with a single entry hosts list so that it doesn't mess with Diversion stats function.
Otherwise you can simply disable the Diversion hosts list by going to b->a->2->3 and disable the list.
This could be very useful. One question though - if I'm starting again from scratch with a fresh install of amtm on a reformatted flashdrive, do you have a recommended sequence to install the scripts (I plan to have Skynet, Diversion, spdMerlin and ntpMerlin)? Your sequence above seems to suggest that I should start with Skynet. Also, if I decide to switch on AiProtection as well, should I do that before or after adding these scripts? For every one that seems to have issues with Diversion pegging the CPU's at 100%, you may want to try this (if a clean install hasn't fixed it already).
At this point, everything should be 'synced' and working in harmony.
- Complete a forced update of Diversion.
- Disable Diversion. Wait until the CPU cores are idle.
- Disable Unbound (if you have it installed). Wait until the CPU cores are idle.
- Disable Skynet (what? you don't have this installed?)
. Wait until the CPU cores are idle.
- Now, start Skynet and wait at least 2 minutes (it may be longer on non-HND routers). Again, the CPU cores are a good indication here, but the 2 minutes seems to be a minimum time to wait for Skynet to 'settle'.
- Then, start Unbound. This 'wait' should be much shorter for idle CPUs.
- Finally, start Diversion. Wait until the CPU cores are idle. This may take the longest (or not!).
Please let us know how it works for you.
No need to do that either, just use DNS FILTER on the router to make her device use any other third party DNS server instead of the router.
Great list.
I added the list to el, 3 and added it as a hosts list for wc_blacklist and then my blocked domains in Diversion went from 580,000 down to 262,000. Is that normal?
For us noobs who don't know what we're doing but like to think we do, could you list the exact steps (if you remember) to get your setup from a 'default' Diversion install with Standard+ Hosts List? This shouldn't happen but since I don't use such large lists I'm not quite sure.
The first thing to check is if you still have all the hosts list enabled in "b".
BTW it's totally counterproductive to use my list with such a large number of blocked domains because it's quite possible that your list already includes all the domains/subdomains my list blocks. I created this list to use it as a pure wildcard blocking list and I don't use any other hosts lists in Diversion so all my blocking is handled by the WC list alone.
When i install Download Master + Diversion, show me an error, why i cant install both? I use Download Master on a HDD and Diversion on a Pen Driver.
Someone can help me?
Download Master uses Optware and Diversion standard uses Entware and they both are not compatible with each other. What you can do is instead of using download manager use Transmission from Entware repo.

I think I know what to do but just want to make sure. Thank you in advance![]()
Ok, but when i try to install Transmision, is too complicate for me, when i download something, it say Error, not space. And i dont know why because i have 1TB
yes, ext4Is your 1TB drive using ext filesystem?
You can't install Entware packages on FAT32/NTFS drive.
