Dual WAN settings - O2 UK

Hi,

Router: ASUS Zenwifi XT8.

Hoping someone has a similar setup.

I am in the UK and I am trying to setup Dual WAN....where the Cold Standby is a USB Dongle with a SIM card from O2.

I cannot for the life of me get it to work in the sense that it is not getting a 'WAN IP' address.

If I plug the dongle into my laptop - it picks up the internet within a minute.

I have tried setting the APN as per standard O2 settings too (mobile.o2.co.uk).
I've tried leaving all the defaults and also 'Auto' settings....
Still there is no WAN IP address....so seems to not be picking up the connection.

I believe I have all the failover settings correct ... but I am struggling one step before this. I first need the connection.

I don't suppose anyone here is doing something similar? And perhaps you could share your settings on the WAN -> Internet Connection tab for the USB device?

Ok. Some of my subsequent searches state that Dual WAN is a no go on these ASUS routers anyways.

Perhaps I should have scoured the forums a bit more first! My bad.
