Hi

I'm trying to get the above routers to work as well as possible together.

RT-AC 3200 is the access point and is connected to my broadband router upstairs.

RT-AC66U_B1 is to be used in extender mode for downstairs.

At the moment I have split 2.4G and 5G Channels on the AC3200

Upstairs 2.4G
Upstairs 5G-1
Upstairs 5G-2 hidden because keep simple etc.

Downstairs (66U-B1) gives me:

Downstairs 2.4G
Downstairs 5G

The way I have it at the moment, the extender downstairs only extends one channel, effectively putting both 2.4 and 5 Ghz extensions on the 5G-1 channel upstairs.

Is there a better way of doing this? I'm trying to get things "as fast as possible" throughout the house....

Both are on Merlin 384.6 (this was the point)
