I have been testing the fq_codel and will stick to cable (docsis) option...

however while testing i came across something that might be adjusted... each time the overhead present is changed and applied the drop down menu goes back to "Select preset" it would be nice if the page would remember the selected option... you know... just a nice thing to have

thanks!

It's a preset selector, not a setting. All it does is fill up the two fields next to it - you can then change the content of these two fields if you want to do further adjustments. There is no value stored on the router relative to that dropdown menu.

Just like the game/service presets on the Port Forward page.

Looks like the QTN radio tripped itself up somehow and then rebooted. When I was running on 380.65 and 380.66_6 I was going for extended periods of time without issue but now 380.67 had this happen. :-(

The Quantenna firmware hasn't changed in well over a year, so this has nothing to do with 380.67.

@RMerlin, Is it possible to add a new feature such as "WAN uptime" under system log>general log, and under tools as well?

I might eventually add it, it's just not a high priority (and it's not as trivial as it might seem. Asus' wanduck code is a complete disaster, I can't make out head nor tail out of it anymore - same reason why I still haven't gotten around to implementing a user-configurable script to the WPS button).

I hope in the future builds that we get alternative packet schedulers like HFSC for qos.

I just had 5 crash/reboots on my 87u in a row with this message :(

Is this still an ipv6 bug in the kernel?

Just a feature I liked from John's Asus firmware fork. If it's to hard to add I understand.

The problem is if I implement a default mode, another user will ask that the default mode be to sort by MAC. Then, someone else will ask that the default mode be configurable. This will result in what I call "feature creap", something I want to avoid. Storing the selected sort mode in a cookie was the compromise I chose.

I hope in the future builds that we get alternative packet schedulers like HFSC for qos.

Outside the scope of this project, and not really realistic to do as Adaptive QoS is closed source.

In case it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere, this update seems to have broken AiCloud, prompting an "Unable to Connect" screen. Running the server on a non-standard port, forwarding is set up correctly, OpenVPN server still works, as well as WAN access to a NAS server. Reverted to the previous version (380.66_6), and AiCloud works again.

Router is AC87U.

WOW! :p

ahh gotcha ill ask asus about it see if they might help not going to hold my breath for the off chance they mange to patch it in. I hope some is able to find a way to patch it in some how would be intresting to see if its better than htb at tackeling buffer bloat.

Help dlna not working. Dlna is not show in the network helpppp please
Your post doesnt help with trouble shooting, you need to post more detail, like router model, and where its not displaying, eg in windows or its an issue with a device etc, it helps with the abilty for others to replicate the problem and limits our ability to help you.

Hi.
In what case should I enable the ATM in WAN packet overhead?
I set my QoS to fq_codel and the preset to Cable (DOCSIS)
I Have Cablemodem with 25/5 Mbps connection.

Thanks.

atm is for adsl cable doesnt need it since it doeant use asycronos transfer mode.

When running a ping test to see the right over head value, should i use my mtu of 1500 or just 64 byte, i want to be sure if ive done it correctly or i just made a major bobo in testing, which would by all means literally suck since id have to go back and re do my tests, my methodolgy was to see if i could keep the latency as low as possible while a download from steam was running, i kept an eye to the latency value, i ran the ping to see the latency it would get initally while after about the 7th ping id let the download run i set the pings to 99 attemts to get a better idea of the results. I just want to be sure im doing it proppely since it seems the preset might not be excatly correct for my case.

@RMerlin Any chance of seeing @john9527 's IPSet updates in the next .68 beta? Been testing them for the last week and its rock solid.

Asus doesn't even allow sortable or editable fields yet, so default sort mode is way down the list of priorities I'm afraid...

@RMerlin Hi ,
I'm a french newbie and my english is poor , be adviced !

config: RT-AC66U

i found a bug with last firmware :

i have connected a 4g phone to usb and set it as primary WAN , secondary Wan is up by ADSL .
With official ASUS FW , it's OK .
but with the last Merlin-FW
380.67 (16-July-2017)
Merged with GPL 380_7743 code, with binary blobs from 7378 for N66U

my router seems to reboot , as soon as i want download something , or test with service like Fast.com

can you explain me, how can i help , send some logs or others...

Thank you !
