Hi all,
I recently bought a TUF-AX3000 in anticipation of using the VPN Fusion (mutiple VPN client process) feature-- but I can't even get a single OpenVPN client connection to establish. When I click Activate I just get a forever spinning wheel. According to the log, it looks like the client service is barely doing anything:
Nov 13 15:44:38 rc_service: httpd 15207:notify_rc restart_vpnc
Nov 13 15:44:43 vpnclient5: Get static key failed
Nov 13 15:46:08 rc_service: httpd 15207:notify_rc stop_vpnc
Nov 13 15:46:17 rc_service: httpd 15207:notify_rc restart_vpnc
Nov 13 15:46:22 vpnclient5: Get static key failed
I've tried both known good .ovpn and login/pass from a personal server and a commercial VPNprovider. The only difference is the commercial VPN .ovpn has a static key in it, so it does not display the "get static key failed" error- but still nothing happens to actually attempt connections. The same .ovpn configs work fine on the OpenVPN iPhone app and Windows desktop client.
I'm running the latest firmware from November, but I see that there was a security update for OpenVPN included in the October firmware. Maybe that broke the OpenVPN client service? Unfortunately I don't think this router is supported by Merlin so that's not an option for me.
