I just purchased another N66U to use in Repeater Mode and while I'm able to get this setup and working but for some reason I can only connect to the main router using 2.4Ghz. I tried manually setting it to connect using 5Ghz but each time it seems to default to 2.4Ghz. I also noticed if I set the 2.4Ghz Control Channel to 1, my Repeater Mode router isn't able to connect even on 2.4Ghz.
I'm using wireless mode of N Only, 20/40 MHz bandwidth for both 2.4Ghz/5Ghz, SSID hidden, WPA2-Personal & AES with everything else set to Auto on my main router. Both have latest firmware 3.0.0.4.376_2524.
Anyone have any advice on how I could get repeater mode router to connect to the main using 5Ghz?
