3.0.0.4.388_21709-g74151b7 for RT-AX86?

Today I accessed the user interface of my RT-AX86 router, and I find that firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_21709-g74151b7 is available for upload. I did not request beta firmware.

I do not see this version featured at Asus web page https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-ax86u/helpdesk_bios/ .

Any ideas?

It's there look under the Others tab and it shows.

I did not request beta firmware.

It's not a beta firmware. Beta firmware has a prefix of 9.0.0.4 instead of 3.0.0.4.

This is a new version, not all servers have synced.

FWIW, over 12 hours up time. No issues, less log spam, has DNSSEC. 5 GHz has been running on channel 116 at 160MHz all my newer clients like it!

Not needed. My router did auto upgrade and has been working well. I did turn on DoT to Quad9 and DNSSEC. DNS response has been quick. Will turn on Wireguard server later.

It Appears a factory reset solved this issue
