Tried alpha4 and now alpha5 (from dsring) and it still giving me the same thing. I can roll back to 55 and everything works fine.

Maybe if someone could roll a version of the firmware without the updated web server changes? I know nothing for firmware development but my guess is maybe something broke with those fixes.

A lot of the firmware backend code lives in the httpd. You can't just use previous versions, it will break various features such as the network map, and a lot of code in it has changed since the last release - including numerous security fixes.

I didn't think it was that easy unfortunately, thanks for the breakdown though. I'm sure it will get fixed eventually, right now I'm fine using your last release. Though that new QoS feature sounds pretty nice.

with the alpha build, there are GUI access Problem by Alpha 4+5
when I try to log in to the setup page, the Setup page is empty

Those experimenting with the alpha code and running into the crashing issue, try rebuilding with the 7ee70e6690f2421d5c3f3a834ec969c1e382710c commit included.

an update on the two bugs i reported

the http://hostname bug isnt present on the rt-ac56u
so its rt-ac66u specific

the qos page bug on firefox is present so its not specific to the rt-ac66u

In 378.55 the actual hostname is kept on "sysName" and Also on the "computer_name" nvram variables. Later one maybe used for Samba?
