I have read many posts about this with others having the same issue, and have tried a few things without success (restarting NIC, trying different browsers, clearing cache, etc). I can successfully PING 192.168.2.1, but when I try to access the address that I have in the past, it doesn't connect:

https://192.168.2.1:8443/Main_Login.asp

Did you change the default from connect using http to connect https? Try connecting using just http://192.168.2.1.

If that doesn't work using the command prompt run ipconfig at see what your default gateway is in case it isn't 192.168.2.1.

I have always used https on my system. I can try http when I get home. I did check to ensure my default was 192.168.2.1, and it was.

If you can't get in using http then it is time to reset your router to default settings, restore the settings from a recent backup if available then immeadiately reset your admin password in case you have been hacked.

Good luck.

I tried to open in Chrome and was successful. It appears to be a certificate issue. Here is what Chrome said in the address field:

Not Secure https://192.168.2.1:8443/Main_Login.asp

NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

Only the https has a horizontal line through it. But, I was able to see an advanced tab that allowed me to access the GUI. I usually use Firefox......so, I need to figure out why all of a sudden this connection is not secure.

So, I went into the certificate area (advanced>encryption>view certificate>authorities) and found several certificates that I issued for my router. I deleted all of them and was able to access the web GUI for my Asus router. Not sure if I am suppose to share a link, but here is a guide for fixing the certificate issue permanently: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1034294/
