New Around Here
Hi,

I have an ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) wireless router.
I could not get an Arlo Doorbell to connect to the main 2.4GHz network.
But I could get this device to connect to the 2.4GHz Guest network.

Any ideas?

I know there are many options for the main 2.4GHz config but few for the Guest config.
It would be nice to know what the other settings are for the Guest network so I could compare.

BTW, I have 2 other devices with this same connectivity issue.

Thanks

WPA2 and 3 at the same time on 2.4 wifi?
When configuring a Guest network UI kinda makes you configure WAP2 only.

And some of those weird IOT devices will not behave properly unless it's a super basic network.
Also, band steering (roaming assistant, whatever name) may confuse some 2.4-only devices.

What you did is the right thing - create a basic network for those strange devices. It's even better you don't really need access from those devices to the rest of your network - it will keep those isolated.

Thanks for the reply.

Both the main and Guest 2.4 networks are using WPA2-Personal.

I know the way it's configed now is fine, but it would be nice to know which setting is not letting those devices connect.

Thanks
