Hello.
Anyone know why an almost identical router is almost $100 cheaper. Differences in hardware? Different WIFI ? Shorter support? I think this is very strange.

Amazon is $260 for the GT-AX6000 v $220 for the RT-AX88u Pro. I got the GT-AX6000 for $236 w/coupon on Amazon ~6 mos ago and it works great. Christmas time and they are trying to move product for sales numbers when earnings announced next month.

I don't know what store you're looking at. The official Asus store prices in the US and UK are almost identical. $260 vs. $270 (currently discounted to $240).

on amazon.pl RT-AX88u Pro 310$, GT-AX6000 235$.(diff 75$).
Where are the differences that justify the price difference?

The ROG 6000 has a better looking body, the 88 Pro has better looking limbs.

The prices very often fluctuate with one being higher than the other at any given time. Averaged, their about the same price as each other.

I did a little research.

Both routers have exactly the same processor and the same 2.4 and 5GHz radios, so they should have exactly the same support, the SDK is the same. Below are the specifications of both routers.

Procesor - Broadcom BCM4912 A0 (2,0 GHz, 4 cores)
RAM - 1024 MB
Flash - 256MB
Wi-Fi 2,4 GHz - BCM6715
MIMO 2,4 GHz - 4x4:4
Wi-Fi 5 GHz - BCM6715
MIMO 5 GHz - 4x4:4

I will only add that the current GT-AX6000 is the R2 version. The R1 version was based on Qualcom chips.

The R1 version was based on Qualcom chips.

There is only one GT-AX6000 released and it is based on Broadcom BCM4912.

Was the R1 version ever available outside of testing?

310 - 235 = $75

I personally prefer Head Crab from Half Life design of the GT AX6000.

Mine in service almost a year, flawless on Merlin.
