New Around Here
Greetings,

I'm moving next month to a Condo Building and in search of a new router. Both routers are on sale but the older N66W can be had for $49 after mail in rebate. The AC68R is $159 through today. My needs are fairly straightforward, the router will connect to a cable modem and I do have VOIP that I have set up. In a few visits to the Condo I observed many wireless networks in the building (worried about congestion). My gut says go with the AC68R but $100 is a $100.

Please advise.

but its chalk and cheese , wireless N v wireless AC , better and faster cpu and ram , but the n66w is prob going to be ok if setup in access point mode behind the cable modem

When a model like an RT-N66W is on sale for $49, that is when I get suspicious.

Whenever I've paid a fair (market) price for anything, I haven't been disappointed.

Spend the $100 and you'll be better prepared for the near and far future.

I did. Thanks for the advise.
