error... "/jffs/services-start.txt: Read-only file system"

I have 2 AC68R ... both on the same firmware. (374.43_2-23B8j9527)

upon updating 1 unit, JFFS got wiped. Now I cannot write to it at all. I have tried several reboots, several formats, disabling/enabling JFFS, etc. The other unit is fine. These have only ever had Merlin or John builds on them.

ideas how to fix?

I don't see any JFFS errors or bad blocks only this...

Scanning device for bad blocks
Options: NO_AUTOINCR,NO_READRDY,BBT_SCAN2NDPAGE,
Creating 2 MTD partitions on "brcmnand":
0x000004000000-0x000008000000 : "brcmnand"
0x000004000000-0x000006000000 : "jffs2"
VFS: Mounted root (squashfs filesystem) readonly on device 31:3.
devtmpfs: mounted
Freeing init memory: 216K

thx for the help!

also, pleas post the syslog (provide a file share link, in a PM if you prefer), not dmesg

Thanks...just wanted to make sure it wasn't a 66R

Then something to try......
- Check off the option to disable JFFS, Apply, and reboot
-Check the option to enable JFFS, and the option to format at next boot, Apply, and reboot
- Reboot again without changing any options.

Did it a 3rd time... it worked! Wow. Never had that happen before :)

Sorry for the false alarm, thanks for the quick reply.

Your work is awesome, and much appreciated my friend!

V23 expanded the jffs space on the 56U/68U from 32M to 64M. You are the first to report a problem. The only thing I can think of is that there was something 'bad' in the expanded space (previously unused) that was causing a problem that required a reformat.
