Hello!

Someone gifted me a RBR50 system with Voxel firmware installed. I attempted to factory reset using the reset button on the back and following NetGear’s instructions, and now it’s stuck on the pulsing white ring of death. Restarting the router, plugging in the computer, etc. doesn’t do anything. I just read that you are not supposed to reset a router using the Voxel firmware with the reset button - have i bricked it? What’s the best next step forward?

Thanks for any help!

You will need to TFTP factory firmware 2.5.2.4 on it. You arent supposed to factory reset Voxel firmware orbis, or you brick them. Once you flash the factory firmware via TFTP, go through the setup process without it connected to a modem (no internet access, because it will auto update which we don’t want to happen and we want to stay on 2.5.2.4). Then flash voxel firmware and then connect the main Orbi router to the internet by plugging it in to the modem.

Thank you for the reply! This worked perfectly.
