uhhh, I may have missed any updates, but it has been my understanding that radio waves travel at "c," the speed of light or close enough to it that it doesn't matter to our puny human understandings of that.
More marketing noise to get us to buy more/new stuff?
 
It's not about a single 'wave', it's about the bandwidth you can have with different types of 'waves' in the spectrum.
