Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.10 Beta is now available

Dirty Flash from 9.2, to 10 Alpha 1, to 10 Alpha 2 (AX88u) now on the Beta. Small hiccup with USB/SSD Flash drive Mounts but that was dues to a USB (no Flash drive) that had a problem I didn't catch before the upgrade. Took a bit to load on the nodes, half as long on the router. But on the router it took a few minutes to quiet down but suspect that was as a result of the mount points getting renamed. Once I fixed that, and restarted and the affected scripts came up clean.

Been fine since.

I just flashed this on an AX88U and almost everything works fine. Only problem, I cannot change the options at the bottom of the Administration - Tweaks - Advanced Tweaks and Hacks section. After applying it will just sit there saying "Applying Settings..." infinitely.
Confirmed. This is caused by leftover from the legacy cstats daemon that does not exist on any of the currently supported models, I will have to remove that portion of the code.

Edit: with some testing, 388.9 works flawlessly with upnp. Anything after this including stock with upnp disabled windows doesnt like. Can anybody else do some testing? Specifically with call of duty on pc as any firmware that has upnp disabled by default doesnt seem to work correctly. Upgrade without wipe works from 388.9 to 388.10 with nat being open.
Doing a restore via router on latest firmwares sets upnp to disabled by default and when enabling this is where the issues start. Enabling Upnp seems good, the log shows the port being forwarded but windows is not getting the port opened.

= 388.10 beta

=388.9-2

Could simply be Windows not realizing that UPnP has been re-enabled. Try rebooting your computer after enabling UPnP on the router.

Bottom line, there hasn't been any change to UPnP in many months. The only change in 388.10 is that if you do a factory default reset, then it will be disabled by default.

Already tried multiple resets and even another Windows install on another disk. Hopefully somebody else on windows with a fresh install of this beta on ax86u or similar can test using a game.
I've just stayed on a dirty flash from latest non beta to this beta and with upnp already being on its all working fine.

Fresh latest stock fw also upnp doesnt work on windows. I've found others using different models stating the same that upnp is broken.

Yes. Because you don't have any IP addresses configured in LAN - DHCP Server > DNS Server 1 or DNS Server 2.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
That's what I had partly understood.

So I will reuse the same settings as you say.

Updated from Alpha 2 and have been running the Beta for several days without any issues. I really like that the functionality and logs work similar to the 3006 branch now. Especially the DNSDirector "Router" mode changes.

Very, very dirty upgrades over the last few years; been a while since last full reset but had no noticeable problems either.

Was running 9_2 very solid; upgraded to 10_alpha1 for a couple of days and seemed to be ok, was just getting alpha2 when I saw beta1 available so skipped alpha2 and installed beta1. Been having lots of unable to load page problems (various browsers Edge, Firefox, cleared cache / cookies, etc.) and fundamental parts of the Asus mobile app no longer work - no device list, trying to use QOS | Internet speed test results in connection failed messages consistently.

Go back to 9_2 and all seems well again. Given the nature of the failures I would have expected to see others posting similar. Wanted to see if anyone cares to assist with debugging before I nuke it; not sure when I'll be able to do that.

Read post #1, second note.
