Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.5 is now available

Can you please check the guest networks? Mine are rejecting connection after a reboot cycle.
I don't use guest networks. I have a precarious balance of nearly 100 IOT devices across both 2.4 and 5ghz along with two nodes and I don't want to possibly break that.

I'm starting to get some odd messages in the system log though, Most of it appears to be related to amtm but this is a new one:
Code:
Aug 8 10:54:25 connmon: **WARNING** JFFS Available Free Space (2.14MB [5.1%]) is getting LOW.

Though it seems to have auto corrected itself.

Dirty upgrade from 3006.102.5 Beta 3 to 3006.102.5 on GT-AXE16000 - everything running smooth.
Thanks.
Update 8/8: uptime 5 days but I just noticed that my IoT devices configured in my guest network pro VLAN disconnect briefly for about 5-10 seconds and then reconnect - just noticed while watching TV and my Sonos Arc soundbar and sub disconnected; Happened now 4 times so far that I am aware of.
Anyone else seeing something similar?

What do the router system logs show for the Guest Network Pro client WiFi disconnect/reconnect?

I just checked the system logs and cannot see anything during that exact time.
Would changing the “Default message log level” show more details?

Hy

I have a rt-be92u. Is that normal, in wifi menu/professional the universal beamforming and explicit beamforming and wifi 7 ofdma wifi 7- mu-mimo not showing.
I installed the last 3006.102.5 firmware. Deleted the browser cache, i tried another browser. Tried the router factory reset. But when i put back the last 3.0.0.6.102_37563 original firmware the menu is working.
Same on my RT-BE88U AP mode.
I have tweaked those options that were removed in the 102.5 firmware. I don't know if these deleted options have any effect on WiFi.

Anyone having issues with clients not connecting on the same SSID via WiFi?

I have a ton of clients which are not reconnecting and when I try and manually add them to the WiFi it’s failing over and over. I see them sometimes on the client list but not really sure what’s going on.

This could be a problem with your WPA settings. If you have older clients, they might have a problem with the mixed WPA2/3 setting? It could be they only support an older version of WPA2. Try to setup a separate network under 'Network' that only runs WPA2 and see if that solves the problem.

Edit: The latest security fixes might cause issues in mixed WPA2/WPA3 mode, since it relies on newer negotiation mechanisms. Older clients—even if they support WPA2—may not handle the handshake properly if the access point expects WPA2/WPA3 capabilities.

I have an issue with the 2.4ghz interface just disappearing from client devices a few mins after reboot (hot and cold). I am pretty sure i didn't have this issue on 3006.102.4
RT-BE92U
attached log, cleared->reboot->wait until 2.4ghz disappears
I've played around with various settings, only a reboot will make the WLAN interface come back:/

Flawless dirty update of GT-AX6000 from 102.4 to 102.5. New Connections page works well. Synology NAS conecting to a datacenter in Germany raised an eyebrow - probably checking for updates, but maybe slurping all my data. Anyhow, thanks for this improved feature @RMerlin.

One minor 'feature' I noticed carried across from 102.4 is the scroll resetting in the Network Map -> Client List when it refreshes. If scrolling down the list using the mouse wheel, it jumps back to the top on the next auto refresh (a couple of seconds) which is not what is wanted. If dragging the scroll bar the list remains in position for the next refresh - the correct thing to do. Everything else seems great.

I had the same issue. Switching from Firefox to Edge resolved the problem.

I am fine on Waterfox.

Pretty sure this is the issue. Thank you very much. I was having issues with my Roku and on googling around WPA2/3 it shows that may be a problem. Will probably follow your advice and setup a separate network for those devices.

I deleted the iot network after the factory setup and i recreated again with 192.168.101.1 ip range. I set up with google dns under special setting and leaved them with wpa2/wpa3 authentitcation and only 2 ghz bamd. That solved my problem.

Thanks. I verified the issue happens in Firefox but not in Edge. Turning off u-block origin made no difference.

The scroll bars render differently: blue with rounded ends in Edge, versus grey with flat ends in Firefox. I prefer the way it looks and behaves in Edge, but I'm not switching my primary browser because of this minor issue.

This is what I get when the iPhone 16 pro max drops to 10-15mb down suddenly, didn’t happen in 102.4:

I'm seeing this behavior in Firefox also. I found that by using the Scroll Bar to move the list, and moving the cursor off of the list lets the list be stationary. I also am not abandoning my Firefox "Daily Driver" for this minor issue.

This shows your device is connected with a very low signal. Dropouts are to be expected behaviour at that range.

Dirty upgrade, no real issues, SSH session right after reboot seemed to lock up, but another reboot via GUI fixed...

Still no joy with Captive Portal on Guest Network, even with favicon added, any updates? (Couldn't find the thread in the beta discussions that talked about it....)

Thanks for all the hard work!!!
