Nah, is ok. Not gonna devote any more efforts on this since all that code is closed and outside of my control anyway.

Current tentative plan is to only release 382.2 for the RT-AC56U (since I have no newer GPL for that model), 382.3 for the RT-AC3200, and 384.4 for the AC68/88/3100/86. If the latest RT-AC3200 Frankenbuild is good enough, then I might skip that 382.3 release and merge it with the first 384 release.

The 382.2 AC68/88/3100/86 release will be scrapped due to the numerous issues, which should mostly be resolved in the first 384 release. Beta files will remain available for those who can live with those issues (like myself, my RT-AC88U works fine once I restart QOS after booting). I just need to finalize analyzing the 10007 code first.

What about my favorite RT87U?

RMerlin...

Just a question, as I'm going to get another router down the track to AiMesh with my primary router RT-AC88U once your firmware supports mesh.

Choosing the 2nd router, will you be supporting the AC5300? If or will my next best choice be either another 88 or go for 68U?

This used to be my main router, but since I haven't seen an official update for this in a very long time I replaced it recently with the AC86U. I still have it laying around but am not having high hopes that this will be included in the 384 branch. So for me, this one is officially dead!

This is my personal opinion and not based on any news/facts. One could call it "fake news";)

JGrana what "sort dhcp" utility? I searched the forums for it couldn't find it. When I've been resetting, I've been using the nvram command to list my settings then saving to a text file. After Reset I use the nvram set command to put my custom_clientlist and dhcp list back. Would love a utility to make this easier!

Thanks
Hmm, I thought it was in Merlins Wiki but I can't seem to locate it. Here it is - nifty one liner:

nvram get dhcp_staticlist | sed 's/</\n/g' | grep ":" | awk -F">" '{ print $2">"$1">"$3; }' | \sort -t . -k 1,1n -k 2,2n -k 3,3n -k 4,4n | awk -F">" '{ print $2">"$1">"$3; }' | \sed 's/^/</g' | tr -d '\n' | sed 's/^/nvram set dhcp_staticlist="/' | sed 's/$/"\n/' | tee dhcp_list_sorted_tmp.sh

I have also attached a .txt file with the above. You will need to rename it to Sort_DHCP.sh, make it executable (chmod 777 Sort_DHCP.sh) and run it. It will create another shell script (dhcp_list_sorted_tmp.sh) that has all of your static DHCP entries that will store them back into nvram.
Be sure to run "nvram commit" after running dhcp_list_sorted_tmp.sh!!!!

Also - Do NOT use this with the latest Asus 384 stock code branch!!!!

B/G protection is checked and won’t let me uncheck it for 2.4 wireless connection. I have it set for wireless N only. FW 382.3 on 1900P

Should the Xbox setting be checked or leave it unchecked?

I just upgraded to this build and it seems like DNS filtering is not working. Has anyone else noticed this or maybe its my settings. I know setting Norton or Opendns as the main DNS works. I will continue to test. Thank you for your continued hard work on these all these years!

Missed this thread...just wanted to report the clkfreq nvram setting is reset to default after rebooting the RT-AC68U on v3.82.2 beta2. Not sure if this is already known or not, or if there is a workaround.

After trying different filters and disconnecting clients and reconnects, it is working. All but Yandex family and Comodo do work. Whoo Hoo.

RT-AC3200 flashed from ASUS Version 3.0.0.4.382.19466 to ASUSWRT-Merlin 382.3_alpha2-g92b6c01, Power cycle, all settings carried forward (including 2-way IPS Logs). So far, so good. Using Tri-Band Smart Connect with default rules. Have RT-AC66U running 3.0.0.4.380_8120 in Media Bridge Mode connected to 5 GHz-2 at 1300 Mbps.

Only one item outstanding from both firmwares on the RT-AC3200: Cannot get a 6TB Seagate Backup+ Hub to be recognized on the USB 3 port of the RT-AC3200. Worked fine using Merlin 380.68_4 or previous version of .68, but 380.69_0 I had plenty of issues with. The following is what I get when I plug it in:

Jan 15 15:43:46 kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:00:0c.0: WARN: short transfer on control ep

The HP LaserJet 1320 is seen on USB 2 port and can be printed to. The USB Drive can be recognized by a computer with no issues. Any help is most appreciated.

RT AC68u with 382.3 alpha1: Repeatedly

Jan 15 21:59:50 kernel: ERR... udb_ioctl_op_dc_get_ips_rt_event: hooknum for anomaly must be 1 or 3

Some AIprotection issue I assume?

Using AC-3200: 382.3_alpha1-gb26683d so far so good. Only bug right now is the LAN port: I'm connected through LAN 2 and it shows LAN 3 in status page.

Still testing other functions. Will start using everything else tomorrow.

Enable usb3 interference option on the wireless 2.4g page about three or four up from the bottom. You however will lose usb3 speeds though as it steps it down to usb2 to stabilize and make the connection. You may have thought you had usb3 speeds before but likely you didn't.

This has been reported.

Works now. Thank you sir! :)

I had read that having "Reducing USB 3.0 Interference" set to Enabled would slow things up and should be disabled if possible. Even though I would get nowhere near USB 3 speeds, I would like it faster if possible. ;)
