Easy way to test Wi-Fi speed from RT-AX86U to a connected client?

I'd like to test the Wi-Fi link between my RT-AX86U router and a connected device, so I know what speed I can expect if I were to upgrade my internet connection. I know I can use iperf to test the speed between 2 devices, but that's tricky with where the router is, I can't hardwire anything to it and I don't have any wireless devices that support as fast a link as my PC. Plus, I would be using the radio to receive and transmit, so I'd have to multiply by 2 and I don't know how accurate that is vs. data coming from WAN.

So I'd just like to test the Wi-Fi link between the client and router. Is there a way to do this using stock Asus firmware? I guess it would require that the router have some data stored locally to send to my PC. I could probably hook up a USB drive, but it wouldn't be as fast as the connection which is reported as ~2100 mbps down with a 2x2 160 MHz channel. I'd like to know if that can deliver gigabit in the real world.

May seem trivial, but I would just transfer a large file from a computer/device plugged into the router to a device connected on the wifi.
