Have a Linksys WRT54G in upstairs bedroom. An Xbox 360 in the basement. Would like to put a small hub in basement to connect xbox to internet using wireless to connect the hub to the router, but don't want to spend the $100 for an xbox wireless adapter. What is the easiest way to do this?

You should be able to use any wireless Ethernet bridge. But they all tend to run up near $100.

You could grab this or any other dd-wrt/tomato compatible router, and like thiggins said, use it as a wireless ethernet bridge. You can easily find directions on how to load the custom firmware and configure it by googling. Your upstairs router might work too depending on what version it is but you would obviously have to replace it (with any other g router you wanted).
