RT-AC68U / asuswrt-merlin 380.64 low nvram

I recently updated to 380.64. Now there is a blinking "!" in the corner of the router web screen and a popup says I am low on nvram.

On the sysinfo page it says
NVRAM usage 63929 / 65536 bytes
JFFS 2.01 / 62.75 MB

Do I need to free up more nvram? What is the best way to do this?

OK I rebooted. Didn't free up much space, still have the "!"

NVRAM usage 63918 / 65536 bytes
JFFS 2.00 / 62.75 MB

edit - it worked. after factory reset:
NVRAM usage 46244 / 65536 bytes
JFFS 1.68 / 62.75 MB

Doing a factory reset may be a temporary fix for the problem. Please keep an eye on the NVRAM usage and if it builds up again see this thread: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/nmp_client_list-eating-up-all-nvram-space.20491/
Refreshing the Client Status List may clear out a bit of NVRAM.

This is old. nmp_client_list is not stored in nvram anymore. Its stored in a file that resides on the jffs partition now (/jffs/nmp_client_list).

EDIT: Not sure which version made the change but it was rather recent. 2 or 3 versions ago.

So, upgrading the firmware does not move the file until a default reset is done?

i have some bug.
fault in client list. i have 270
as a result client_info_tmp in nvram Filled with garbage

and I think it's guilty of OpenVpn server
