I must have changed something drastic the last time I edited things but now I cannot SSH to the router..

[turgut@tkminilaptop ~] $ ssh -XY 192.168.1.1 -p 1341
admin@192.168.1.1's password:
X11 forwarding request failed on channel 0
ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC68U 384.16_0 Sun Apr 5 17:34:31 UTC 2020
Connection to 192.168.1.1 closed.

What to do? Is there a `boot from usb` or something else that can save me at this stage? It appears that the shell cannot be loaded after ssh accepts the connection.

I think I need to access the /jfss/scripts directory to fix my problem..
somehow!

Does PuTTY work?

Never mind --- I rebooted again and this time the SSH works?!!

I think I learned a lesson today: Do not fiddle with the /jfss/scripts folder which becomes inaccessible if you cannot SSH to the box. Instead, create something like /tmp/opt/startup.sh that is invoked by the /jfss/scripts files, but we CAN externally mount the /tmp/opt and fix.

Another good advice is to periodically use the `backup jfss` option in Administration settings!
