I know the RT-AC56U awesome VPN performance. Has anyone run a comparison with the new RT-AC68U?

It's exactly the same, as they use the same processor.

There might be a slight improvement with the AC68U if you used the DDR utility to upgrade the bootloader, as it will increase the memory clock, but nothing major.
