Has anyone tested the guest network function yet to see if it populates to the node?

Disabling roaming ashistant makes no difference. I still can see the device being kicked off the network.
Deauth_ind 84:F3:EB:83:9F:B3, status: 0, reason: Disassociated due to inactivity (4)
Disassoc 84:F3:EB:83:9F:B3, status: 0, reason: Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left) BSS (8)

I searched all logs of my AX88U, the node in my AiMesh. There isn't a single log about 84:F3:EB:83:9F:B3. It looks highly unlikely the above messages are because of a roaming attempt.

I'm downloading now the new release. And planning to install it on top of my working setup. Setup I've rebuild last week after rolling back from RC2.
In this new release do you expect any improvements regarding the "inactivity" issue on 2.4?

I'm happy you fixed the 80MHz issue, that one was a bummer. But for me it's a big deal you're kicking some of my few devices out of 2.4GHz because of inactivity. I did submit a number of feedbacks on that one.

Woke up today unable to log in to my router. It's saying incorrect username or password. Going to reboot it soon to see if that lets me in. Very strange!

It has been working for me since the first release.

Did you bang on it (guest WLANS) from all directions to confirm full isolation... that would be a chore.

AiMesh 2.0 public beta firmware 9.0.0.4.386.extension:

RC2-1 (2020-07-15) can't add node; loses WiFI
RC2-2 (2020-07-28) no Internet on remote node?
RC2-3 (2020-08-06) kernal crash after reboot
RC2-4 (2020-08-14) 39485 WLANs disappear; VLAN errors in Log
RC2-5 (2020-09-11) 40018, 40024
RC2-6 (2020-10-06) 40322
RC2-7 (2020-10-22) 40577
RC2-8 (2020-11-12) 40947
RC2-9 (2020-12-01) 41157
RC2-10 (2020-12-31) 41535 AC86U CPU high temp issue? AVOID

The latest RC2 release is assumed unless noted otherwise.

Physical reboot fixed the issue but then had to do a graceful reboot due to slowness issues. Sending diagnostic report to ASUS with a 24 hour log.

all i did was connect to the guest network with my phone on the node and try roaming and accessing local network files with my phone. roaming worked fine and i could not access my local network while connected to guest network on the node.

386 rc2 beta:
the connection with two GT-AC5300s works but now on the bridge there's no internet

internet connection:
good↓
GT-AC5300 >wireless> GT-AC5300
no internet
GT-AC5300 >LAN> GT-AC5300 no internet
GT-AC5300 >Switch> GT-AC5300 no internet
:(

So far, with full reset (WPS) and with factory default settings on both Router and Node.
No internet for clients connected with 5 GHz to the Node, but clients connected with 2.4 GHz to the Node has internet.
All clients connected to Router works fine.
yeah..I've just found out the same issue (39179).. now I think need to back to the 1st firmware (38936) (ASUS XT8)

Update: After revert back to the 38936 firmware, the connection from node back to working..

"Fixed GT-AC5300, RT-AX92U, RT-AC86U, RT-AC68U AiMesh on boarding issue."

What it means?

It means the function of adding an AiMesh remote node (onboarding) should now work for those model routers.

i upgrade my mesh system to this beta make factory default, and see smal progress :)
1, Now i can add my 68u as a node without any problem, but node is disconnect my clitent immediately, see log:
Code:
Jul 28 21:51:13 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(469): eth5: Deauth_ind xx:xx:46:03:xx:89, status: 0, reason: Deauthenticated because sending station is leaving (or has left) IBSS or ESS (3)
Jul 28 21:51:13 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(486): eth5: Disassoc xx:xx:46:03:xx:89, status: 0, reason: Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left) BSS (8)
Jul 28 21:51:13 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(469): eth5: Deauth_ind xx:xx:46:03:xx:89, status: 0, reason: Class 3 frame received from nonassociated station (7)
So with this fw my node is completly useless.

just updated and wireless aimesh is working on my two AC86U routers. some GUI sections have been refined like the CPU/RAM usage area. my setup is running well for a couple of hours now on a dirty update. the fronthaul area is still not showing any activity whether on wired or wireless backhaul.

So, you don't have the AC2900 Internet issue report here:

I'm beginning to wonder what RC means. :)

Anyone know if there is RC for RT-AC66U_B1? I saw Merlin's post with the screenshot.

The RT-AC66U_B1 is identical to the RT-AC68U.
