Unable to Flash Merlin on RT-AC68P

Hi,

I decided to flash updated ASUS firmware on my 2 former AC1900 T-Mobile-converted to RT-AC68P routers, andafter flashing the latest ASUS FW, I could not connect an AiMesh node. I tried Merlin, no luck, then went back to ASUS FW, but one router would not update to another FW of any type.

I downloaded the ASUS Rescue Utility, and put the router in Rescue mode, and every firmware I have tried aborts before it finishes loading. Merlin Version 384.6 is the smallest file, but it aborts at 95%. The smallest ASUS FW aborts at about 60-80%.

Is there an earlier Merlin version that is a smaller file size? If so, where can I find it?
