New Around Here
Just made an update to 380.58. No problems at all, great firmware , very happy.

Curious about DFS channels.
Anyone who can confirm, that allowed 1000mW TX power on DFS channels does not work with latest Broadcom drivers ? I switched between channels but could not see a 6 dB gain as expected.

Cheers

1000mW on EU regulation? ~10-20mW you mean...

For this table he is right:

Yes, he is "right", but theory is not real life.

"I switched between channels but could not see a 6 dB gain as expected."

Some time ago i have tested DFS channels regarding this "issue" and the results were exactly the same

Seems I misunderstood your answer...

I can´t see a difference either in my routers.
some running on channel 36+40
others running on channel 100+104

No matter if I use vendor firmware or 3rd party. Or using R7000 or AC68U.

1000mW TX are only allowed for outdoor use. Either you use an outdoor device, or you tell indoor device that it is "outdoors", meaning it has outdoor antennas connected which is quite common way to save money if you need an outdoor WiFi - put AP indoors (cheaper) and only antennas are located outdoors.
You can't do that on RT-N66U and you can't use 1000mW TX indoors at all. At least not legally.
200mW TX is max allowed indoor TX power in Europe on 5GHz band.
