RT-AX88U (obviously not new hardware revision) user. Any incentives to upgrade from 386.7_2?

thanks!

It has an updated SDK, which may improve wifi-related performance. Newer GPL code as well, which will include any fixes and improvements implemented by Asus in it.

Let's GO! Updating now...

EDIT: Updated both RT-AX88U APs. No issues so far. Done a second series of reboots and letting it settle. All devices re-connected. Nest, TP-Link, IOT, IPTV etc... all happy.

Updated my AX88U (main router) instantly - after B1 & 2 testing nothing to report - everything looks good.

Only one side topic:
Finally I could update via Browser from Beta to Final version - for B1 & 2 I needed to do it via CFE web (recovery mode) and reload settings - annoying to have to change IP address ranges between CFE, initial router UI and my final setting.

Just installed and everything is good.

How can you assess whether the build was good 10 minutes after installing it? Just because it installed with no errors, doesn't automatically mean everything is working optimally. It takes time to thoroughly test these things. I've learned the hard lesson of never giving into the excitement and rushing anymore. Patience pays off more.

A number of people have had issues upon flashing and have previously bricked devices or had to do full factory resets in order to get things working correctly. This is just a report that things flashed ok, if issues pop up later then I'm sure people will return and report as such

I don't have a supported model and so cannot tell but will this version have a direct support for wireguard within its UI?

Dirty over Beta2 all fine.

Wifi Radar still not showing up correctly, still a Asus issue ?
Signal on 5GHz shows up as 2.4GHz Channel and with 0dBm + Security is showing up as WPA2 instead of WPA3.
Switching from 5GHz 160MHz Channel52 to Channel100 will end in a weak Signal within AiMesh Nodes on the 2.4GHz.

Maybe a Bug:
---> Smart Connect OFF (2.4GHz disabled) only 5GHz ON + in Wireless/Professionall TAB the 2.4GHZ Modul is set to OFF.
---> Under Systemprotocol the 2.4 GHz shows up as disabled.
---> 2.4GHz is still showing up even when disabled ?!

No problems to report with my AX88U.
Once again, thanks to Merlin and the developers for this new update

Dirty upgrade to 386.8 on my AX88U.

Any idea if/when the rt-ac68 will get 386.8 ?

This version has no wireguard .

For me and my two ax88u is everything ok.
All devices reconnected, up and working!
